Ingredients:
3 lbs chuck roast |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1/2 cup celery, chopped |
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped |
water |
1 1/2 cups catsup |
3 tablespoons hot taco sauce |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 bay leaf |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
8 hamburger buns |
Directions:
1. Place meat, onion, celery and green pepper in Dutch oven; cover with water. 2. Cover tightly and cook slowly 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until tender. 3. Remove meat; cool, shred and return to cooking liquid. 4. Add catsup, taco sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, bay leaf, salt, mustard and chili powder. 5. Cook slowly 1 hour. 6. Remove bay leaf; serve on buns. |
