This is from the Diana Liu cookbook. Ingredients:
1/2 lb beef, sliced very fine |
1 lb broccoli |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon sherry wine |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 tablespoon sesame oil |
2 teaspoons salt |
6 tablespoons oil |
2 tablespoons water |
Directions:
1. Cut broccoli spears, then split into 2 or 4 sections. 2. Slice stalk into thin slices. 3. Mix cornstarch, soy sauce, sesame oil, sherry and beef. 4. Heat 3 Tblsp. oil in frying pan until hot. 5. Stir-fry broccoli 1 minute; add 2 Tblsp. water; cook 2 more minutes; remove from pan; set aside. 6. Heat 3 more Tblsp. oil in frying pan until hot. 7. Stir-fry beef mixture 2 minutes. 8. Add broccoli to beef and stir well 2 more minutes. 9. Serve hot. |
