Serve with seasonal vegetables and garlic bread. Ingredients:
8 ounces lean sirloin steaks, cut into 10cm/4inch strips |
1 tablespoon sunflower oil |
1 ounce flour, mixed with |
1 teaspoon paprika |
salt & freshly ground black pepper |
1 red onion, peeled and sliced |
2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped |
6 ounces new potatoes, cooked and halved |
1 dash worcestershire sauce |
1 1/4 cups beef stock, hot |
4 ounces cherry tomatoes, halved |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 tablespoon chives |
Directions:
1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. 2. Meanwhile, place the flour in a large bowl or plastic bag and mix together with the paprika and seasoning. 3. Toss the beef strips in the flour. 4. Cook the beef for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Add the onion, garlic and potatoes and cook for a further 2-3 minutes. 6. Add the Worcestershire sauce, seasoning (if required), stock and cherry tomatoes and heat for 1-2 minutes. 7. Sprinkle over the parsley or chives. 8. Serve. |
