This is a recipe that my mother has been doing for years, and it is absolutely delicious. We do have some people in my family who are lactose intolerant and instead of using milk and sour cream you can add a package of dry gravy mix to give it a thick consistency.
Ingredients:
1 1/2-2 lbs steak beef tips
1 sliced onion
4 ounces sliced mushrooms
1 cup milk
2 minced garlic cloves
1 beef bouillon cube
8 ounces sour cream
1/2 cup wine (red or white)
black pepper (to taste)
salt (to taste)
1 -2 lb wide egg noodles
Directions:
1. Brown steak tips and onion in skillet.
2. Add mushrooms, milk, garlic, and beef bouillon; bring to boil.
3. Mix together the wine and sour cream, add to skillet, and heat through.
4. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Serve over wide egg noodles.
