I love this recipe. It tastes like something straight out of a fine restaurant. Ingredients:
2 lbs stewing beef, cubed small |
3 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
3 tablespoons oil |
3 onions, sliced thin |
1/2 cup tomato juice |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef consomme |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/2 lb sliced mushrooms |
Directions:
1. Dredge meat in flour,salt and pepper. 2. Over medium heat brown meat, onions and mushrooms in the oil. 3. Add tomato juice, consomme and sugar. 4. Reduce heat and simmer until meat is tender 11/2-2 hours. 5. Blend in sour cream. 6. Heat but do not boil. |
