Beef Stir Fry Ingredients:
1 beef bouillon cube |
2 cups boiled water, slightly cooled |
4 tablespoons cornstarch |
2/3 cup low sodium soy sauce |
1 teaspoon white sugar |
1 1/2 pounds beef |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided |
1 tablespoons minced garlic |
1/2 teaspoons black pepper |
6 green onions, chopped |
1 green pepper |
1 red pepper |
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced |
2 cups broccoli |
3 cups uncooked brown rice |
Directions:
1. Dissolve the bouillon cube in the boiled water until combined. 2. Whisk together cornstarch, soy sauce, and sugar until smooth, then add to the broth; set aside. 3. Cut beef into small strips. 4. In a bowl toss the beef strips with the garlic, and black pepper (other spices may be used as well). 5. Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat; add in the beef in 2 batches and cook to desired doneness; remove to a plate. 6. Add in 1-2 tablespoons oil to wok or skillet and add in vegetables; stir-frey until crisp-tender. 7. Stir in the soy sauce mixture; bring to a boil and cook for about 2-3 minutes. 8. Add the beef back to the wok or skillet and heat through. 9. Serve over rice. |
