There's nothing better than a bowl of homemade soup or stew. This is one of my favorites. Tastes even better warmed up the next day. Best of all it is an easy recipe. Ingredients:
2 lbs round steaks, cubed |
flour (to coat steak) |
salt and pepper (to coat steak) |
2 -3 tablespoons oil |
1 dash worcestershire sauce |
1 dash hot pepper sauce |
1 dash garlic powder |
1 small onion, chopped |
3 beef bouillon cubes |
1/2 cup red wine |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes |
2 bay leaves |
1/4 cup parsley, chopped |
2 -3 carrots, sliced |
5 medium new potatoes, quartered |
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms |
1 cup frozen peas |
1 whole clove |
3 cups water |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Dredge steak in flour, salt and pepper mixture; brown in oil. 2. Place in crock pot and add the remaining ingredients. 3. Cook for 8-10 hours on low. |
