This hearty soup is perfect for a cold evening or a warm get-together ..... Ingredients:
500 gm beef stew meat , cubed |
2 tsp rice wine |
2 carrots, diced |
1 can button mushrooms, drained and sliced |
1 onion, cubed |
3 sticks celery , sliced |
1 tsp worcestershire sauce |
1 tsp tomato sauce |
black pepper according to your taste |
1 cube beef bouillon |
salt if necessary |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
water |
Directions:
1. On high heat , stir fry the beef with the wine until browned on all sides . 2. Set aside . 3. Place the beef and everythingelse except the cornstarch , with enough water to cover the ing. in a slow cooker . 4. Set it to HIGH and cover. 5. Cook about 3 hours, stirring occasionally. 6. Whisk together the cornstarch with abit of water and stir into the stew. 7. Let the stew thicken . 8. Serve hot with Garlic Bread / Bun .... |
