main dish casserole Ingredients:
16 oz beef, ground, 90% lean meat / 10% fat, crumbles |
1 large onion, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
3 oz uncooked noodles, cooked according to pkg directions |
1 tsp oregano leaves |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp pepper |
1/2 c shredded cheese - 2% milk reduced fat - mild cheddar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. In saucepan, cook beef, onion and garlic over medium heat, stirring with a spoon to break up meat, until cooked through, 8 - 10 minutes. Remove from heat. 3. Stir in tomatoes, noodles, oregano, salt and pepper. Spoon into 1 1/2 quart casserol; spinkle with cheese. Bake, covered, until heated through and cheese is melted, 15 - 20 minutes. |
