This rich and tender beef dish is delicious served over cooked noodles. Adapted from a recipe found Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 lbs lean stewing beef, cubed |
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package onion soup mix |
1 cup sherry wine |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 lb sliced mushrooms |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in heavy pot. Brown the beef cubes on all sides. 2. Add soup mix, sherry, garlic salt, and mushrooms; stir well. 3. Cover pot; simmer mixture at least 1 hour or until meat is tender to the fork. (Add an additional water or soup stock if needed.). |
