Old family recipe... Ingredients:
2 lbs stewing beef, cubed |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
3 celery ribs, chopped |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 small heads of cabbage or 1/2 large cabbage |
2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes |
5 cups water |
5 beef bouillon cubes |
2 beef bones with marrow |
Directions:
1. 1. In a large soup pot, brown beef. 2. 2. Add all other ingredients except parsley. 3. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. 4. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 4 hours. 5. 5. Serve hot with warm bread. |
