This is a belly-warming soup that is great for chilly days, or if you're in the mood for some cheese! Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 onion, chopped |
1 cup sour cream |
1 lb velveeta cheese |
1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes and green chilies |
1 (15 ounce) can chili without beans |
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans pinto beans |
tortilla chips |
Directions:
1. In a large soup kettle, cook hamburger and onion until hamburger is brown and onion is translucent. 2. Stir in cheese, chili, tomatoes, and beans. 3. Heat until boiling and cheese has melted. 4. Stir in sour cream and reheat but do not allow to boil. 5. Serve with tortilla chips. 6. ~NOTE~If you prefer a soupier soup do NOT drain the beans or tomatoes. |
