Ingredients don't include most veggies and herbs. Ingredients:
2 lbs beef |
8 oz mushrooms |
1 c onion |
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes |
1/2 c green beans |
2/3 c barley |
5 c beef broth |
Directions:
1. Brown beef in skillet (used tiny amount of peanut oil) 2. Add veggies (used onion, garlic, mushrooms, green beans - can add anything you want - carrots, celery, corn, etc.)to crockpot. 3. Add meat to top. 4. Combine tomatoes, barley, parsley, salt and basil (or thyme)and add to top of meat. 5. Add broth (can use water instead, but add boullion cubes to tomato mixture in step above). 6. DO NOT STIR 7. Cook on low for 10-12 hours (or high for half as long). |
