Home made, vinegar based barbecue sauce Ingredients:
1 cup yellow onion, brunoise |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
1/2 cup beef stock |
1/2 cup cider vinegar |
3/4 cup maple syrup |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce |
3 tablespoons chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 jalapenos, minced |
Directions:
1. Cook onion and garlic in olive oil in a non-reactive sauce pan until tender. Add beef stock, vinegar, syrup, worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt and chili peppers. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. |
