Beef & Baked Beans Stuffed Bell Peppers |

Ingredients:
3 medium green peppers |
1/3 cup chopped onion |
1 cup baked beans |
1 garlic clove, minced |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
1/2 lb ground beef |
3 tablespoons barbecue sauce |
1/3 cup chopped celery |
3 slices gruyere cheese |
Directions:
1. Cut peppers in half lengthwise, remove seeds. 2. Cook 5 minutes in boiling water. 3. Drain. 4. Sauté celery, onion, and garlic in butter until tender. 5. Remove from pan. 6. Brown ground beef in same skillet. 7. Stir in sautéed vegetables, beans and barbecue sauce. 8. Fill peppers. 9. Place in shallow baking dish. 10. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. 11. Top with cheese. 12. Bake 10 minutes more. |
