These burgers have more flavor than the all beef ones. I got the recipe from a friend and have made them a lot. Ingredients:
4 slices bacon, diced |
1 cup minced onion |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
1 1/2 cups soft breadcrumbs |
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 cup water |
1 tablespoon dried parsley |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon marjoram |
1/4 teaspoon paprika |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 lb ground beef |
1 lb ground pork |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler. 2. In skillet, cook bacon, onion, and garlic until bacon is crisp. 3. Drain; put into lg bowl. 4. Add all remaining ingredients; mix well. 5. Shape into 8 patties. 6. Broil, 6 inches from the heat, 7-8 minutes per side, or until done. |
