This hearty soup is perfect for a large crowd! Ingredients:
1 lb. of ground beef |
1/2 chopped large onion |
5 c. of chopped cabbage |
2 (16 oz.) cans of red kidney beans, drained |
2 c. of water |
24 oz. of tomato sauce |
4 beef bouillon cubes |
2 tbsp. of vegetable oil |
1 1/2 tsp. of ground cumin |
1 tsp. of salt |
1 tsp. of pepper |
Directions:
1. First you want to heat some olive oil in a pot over medium flame. 2. Then you can saute your beef and onion.(let this cook until done) 3. Next drain off fat. 4. Then you can pour beef mixture into a crock pot. 5. Then add in the cabbage, kidney beans, water, tomato sauce, bouillon, cumin, salt and pepper. 6. Cover this and cook on high for approx. 4 hrs. 7. Stir occassionally and Enjoy! |
