Makes Chicken Gyros that are healthy and have a fairly low prep time. Recipe does not include a particular seasoning for the chicken, as thats really up to your own tastes. I personally have some spicy cajun seasoning mixes I use for most chicken servings. Ingredients:
12 ounces chicken breasts, sliced |
3 whole wheat pita bread |
1 cup lettuce |
1/2 cup tomato, diced |
1/2 cup onion, diced |
5 tablespoons tzatziki |
Directions:
1. Take Chicken Breasts out of freezer, season with Seasoning Rub, and put in refrigerator overnight to thaw in a ziplock bag. 2. Spray a cooking pan with Pam, and heat on medium to medium-high. Slice the raw chicken breasts into strips, and grill. 3. To prepare pita, place 4 oz of chicken breast into each of 3 toasted pitas. Evenly distribute lettuce, tomato, and onions. Add tzatziki to taste and serve. |
