2 tablespoons butter |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 1/4 cups whole milk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour, and cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. 2. Stir in milk; increase heat to medium, and cook, stirring constantly, 6 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt and pepper. Cover and chill until ready to use. |
