Ingredients:
2 tablespoons currants |
2 tablespoons pignoli ( pine nuts) |
1 lemon |
1 orange, whole |
1 cup bread crumbs |
1 cup olive oil |
12 to 16 fresh whole sardines, cleaned, scaled, rinsed, dried and butterflied |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Combine first 6 ingredients to make a stuffing. Stuff sardines, layer in oven proof dish and bake for 10 to 15 minutes. |
