Barefoot Contessa's chocolate cake recipe Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
2 cups sugar |
3/4 cup cocoa powder |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup buttermilk |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
2 large eggs |
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract |
1 cup brewed coffee |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Butter 2 (8-inch) round cake pans. 3. Sift dry ingredients and mix on low speed. 4. Combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla in another bowl and slowly add wet ingredients to dry. 5. Add coffee and stir just to combine. 6. Pour batter into prepared pans 7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. |
