High in dietary fiber, zero cholesterol bars for the healthy athlete. Tastes like a cookie, acts like a high energy bar.
Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons dried mango
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons applesauce
1 egg white
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon peanut butter
Directions:
1. Mix salt, baking soda, oats, flour, brown sugar and diced dried mangos. Mix applesauce, egg white, and milk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix lightly. Pour into a greased 8X8 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes. After bars have cooled, mix powdered sugar, peanut butter and a few drops of milk to form a drizzle. Drizzle in a pretty pattern over bars and cut into pieces.
