This is a great little recipe, very easy and delish, especially when you are short on time. This is from an ad for honey. This is great on burger buns, and for a change, try this on hot dog buns for the kids! Or for yourself, for that matter! A dash or two of your favorite hot sauce will transform yours into a spicy little number! Great with chips and pickles.I like to grate some cheese and top the Bearwiches with it. It's also good on top of hot dogs, making it a Bearwich dog. This doubles and triples great. I usually make a triple batch and freeze several meals for the times when I don't have the time to cook. Just pop it in the microwave to defrost, and dinner's hot on the table in no time! Ingredients:
1 cup water |
1 small onion, chopped |
3/4 cup catsup |
1/4 cup honey (i use sue bee) |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
2 tablespoons prepared mustard |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 teaspoon salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix all of the ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan and bring it to a boil. 2. Simmer over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes. 3. Serve hot. |
