This recipe is from a good friend with a great sense of humor who lives life in two gears...park or overdrive and has worn out several guardian angels. I think of her every time I make this bread and smile. Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour |
2 cups sugar |
1 t. baking soda |
1 t. salt |
1 t. ground cinnamon |
1/4 t. ground nutmeg |
4 beaten eggs |
1 1/4 cups canola or vegetable oil |
2 - 10 oz. packages of frozen strawberries (thawed) |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients. Add beaten eggs, oil, and thawed strawberries. 2. Mix and pour into two greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pans. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 4. Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing. 5. Serve with cream cheese. |
