From Cooking the Korean Way. Ingredients:
3 cups water |
3 cups fresh bean sprouts |
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce |
2 teaspoons vinegar |
1 teaspoon sesame oil |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
2 green onions, finely chopped |
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil over high heat. Add bean sprouts, reduce heat to medium, and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until crisp-tender. 2. Pour bean sprouts into a colander and rinse with cold water. Drain well and place in a large bowl. 3. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and stir to dissolve sugar. 4. Pour dressing over bean sprouts and serve. |
