Bean-pasta Stew

We ate this as a main dish. I think it would go well with chicken. My 1 year old dd has a milk allergy, so I didn't put the cheese on hers.
Ingredients:
2 cans pinto, navy, kidney, etc. beans
1 can chicken broth
1 can italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 pkg frozen cut green beans, thawed (or 1 can)
1 cup pasta shells
1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
grated parm.
Directions:
1. Heat all ingredients except pasta and cheese to boiling in a 3-quart saucepan.
2. Reduce heat to low, stir in pasta.
3. Cover and simmer about 15 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
4. Sprinkle parm over each serving.
