We ate this as a main dish. I think it would go well with chicken. My 1 year old dd has a milk allergy, so I didn't put the cheese on hers. Ingredients:
2 cans pinto, navy, kidney, etc. beans |
1 can chicken broth |
1 can italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained |
1 pkg frozen cut green beans, thawed (or 1 can) |
1 cup pasta shells |
1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning |
grated parm. |
Directions:
1. Heat all ingredients except pasta and cheese to boiling in a 3-quart saucepan. 2. Reduce heat to low, stir in pasta. 3. Cover and simmer about 15 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. 4. Sprinkle parm over each serving. |
