This recipe has been in Hubby's family for years.. it took me a long time to try it, but it's actually really good. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 lb pork sausage |
2 cans pork and beans |
1 cup ketchup |
1/4 cup mustard (liquid) |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1 loaf white bread |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and sausage, drain. 2. Remove and discard bit of pork from pork and beans, add beans, ketchup, mustard,and chili powder. 3. Stir. 4. Simmer over low/medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. 5. Serve over bread, 2 slices per serving. |
