A modern adaptation of the American Indian Bean Bread
Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
2 cups milk
1/4 cup shortening, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons honey
4 cups brown beans, cooked and drained
Directions:
1. Mix all but beans thoroughly.
2. Fold in beans.
3. Pour into hot greased pan.
4. Bake at 450 for 30 minutes or until brown.
