In Fred Thompson's 'Bourbon' Ingredients:
2 cups unsweetened brewed black tea |
5 cups water |
1 pint bourbon (maker's mark or jack daniel's old no. 7 whiskey) |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed |
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed |
chilled ginger ale, as needed |
Directions:
1. In a large metal bowl (that will fit in your freezer), combine all of the ingredients except for the ginger ale. 2. Place the bowl in the freezer, and every couple of hours or so, stir the mixture, until frozen. 3. To serve, use an ice cream scoop or a large, heavy spoon to fill an old-fashioned glass 2/3 full with the frozen tea mixture. 4. Top with some ginger ale; do not stir. 5. Let the ginger ale coagulate with the frozen tea and make it all slushy, and then drink up. |
