It may not look or sound that great but you have to try it. It is SOOOO good. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 small green bell pepper, chopped |
1/2 yellow onion |
1 tablespoon garlic salt |
3 1/2 cups neely's bbq sauce, recipe follows |
1 pound pork, beef, or chicken, cooked and chopped into bite-size pieces |
1 pound spaghetti |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. 2. Saute the pepper and onion, until softened for 1 to 2 minutes. 3. Stir in the garlic salt. 4. Add the premade BBQ sauce and bring to a boil. 5. Reduce the heat to a low simmer and add the chopped meat. 6. Meanwhile, fill a large pot with water and bring to boil. 7. Season liberally with salt and add spaghetti. 8. Cook for 7 minutes, until al dente (firm but not hard) and drain. 9. Toss spaghetti with sauce. 10. Neely's BBQ Sauce 11. 2 cups ketchup 12. 1 cup water 13. 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 14. 5 tablespoons light brown sugar 15. 5 tablespoons sugar 16. 1/2 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper 17. 1/2 tablespoon onion powder 18. 1/2 tablespoon ground mustard 19. 1 tablespoon lemon juice 20. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 21. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Cooked uncovered, stirring frequently, for 1 hour 15 minutes. |
