I got the basics for recipe this from Big Daddy's House or Aaron McCargo on FN. I have hunted for a recipe I really liked and found that I only needed to eliminate a couple of ingredients from his recipe to suit our personal taste. YUM!- Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
1/8 teaspoon onion powder |
1/8 teaspoon celery seed |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
5 lbs ribs |
2 cups barbecue sauce |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 1/2 cups water |
Directions:
1. In a med size bowl mix rub ingredients together. 2. Rub ribs with rub mix. 3. Cut apart ribs. 4. Place ribs in large roaster pan. 5. Chop onion and sprinkle over ribs. 6. Add water to roaster at the edge of pan. 7. Cover with foil and roast in 375°F oven for 1 1/2 hours. 8. Remove from oven and drain water. 9. Drizzle with BBQ sauce and roast for another 15-20 minutes uncovered. |
