Adapted from Ingredients:
16 ounces barbecue sauce |
1/4 cup bourbon whiskey |
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar |
4 -5 lbs chicken (boneless skinless breasts, cut into 1â x1â pieces) |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup sweet paprika |
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar |
1 tablespoon smoked paprika |
6 slices bacon, chopped |
8 -10 wooden skewers (soaked in water for an hour) |
Directions:
1. In a bowl combine BBQ sauce, vinegar and whiskey. Whisk to combine. Set aside and allow flavors to cme together. 2. Add bacon to the bowl of a food processor and blend until bacon becomes a paste. 3. Add salt, pepper, paprikas, and sugar. Pulse until well combined. 4. Pat chicken with a paper towel to dry. 5. Add bacon paste mixture to chicken; mix with hands until chicken is completely coated. 6. Place chicken on skewers. 7. Place on preheated grill. 8. Cook on each side for 2-3 minutes. 9. Brush cooked surface with barbecue sauce and cook each side (coated in sauce) for 1 additional minute. 10. Remove kabobs from grill. 11. Pour remaining barbeque sauce into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour into a serving container and serve barbecue sauce along side kabobs. |
