Barbecued Beef Ingredients:
5 lb chuck roast |
1/2 c vinegar |
1/2 c brown sugar |
2 c water |
2 3/4 c catsup |
1 tbl dry mustard |
1 large onion |
2 cloves of garlic |
Directions:
1. Combine beef brown sugar, vinegar, and water in a roaster. 2. Bake at 375 F for 3 hours. 3. Remove from oven, cool. Remove fat and bones. Shred the beef. 4. Add mixture of catsup, mustard, onion, garlic; stir. 5. Reduce oven temp to 300 F and cook, covered for up to four hours. 6. Stir every half hour, adding more water, catsup as needed. 7. Serve on buns. |
