Got this back in the 60's. The woman who made this for a picnic didn't want to give anyone the recipe. So her daughter gave it to all of us the next day! Thanks, Merry! Great as a salad or on bratwurst or other German sausages. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup vinegar |
2 16 ounce cans sauerkraut, bavarian style, drained well |
1 1/2 cups celery, chopped fine |
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped fine |
1 small onion, chopped fine |
1/2 cup pimiento, chopped fine |
Directions:
1. Mix and refrigerate overnight. Good as salad or as relish for German sausages. |
