shortening or oil for deep fat frying
Directions:
1. For batter: In medium mixing bowl stir together egg and ice water. Add flour all at once. Add enough milk or beer to make smooth. Beat with wire whisk until smooth. 2. Set aside. 3. In heavy saucepan, heat 2 inches of oil or shortening to 375 degrees F. 4. Dip veggies in batter. Fry 2-3 minutes or until brown. 5. Be very careful!!!
