I'm looking forward to trying it during our long, hot summer. Cook time does not include freeze time. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1 cup water |
3/4 cup fresh lime juice |
20 fresh basil leaves, minced |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Stir well until sugar dissolves. 4. Allow to boil 1 minute. 5. Remove from heat. 6. Combine syrup, lime juice and basil in blender and puree. 7. Pour mixture into a container and cover. 8. Store in freezer until completely frozen, about 2 hours. 9. Break frozen mixture into pieces. 10. Place in blender and blend until smooth. 11. Return to container, cover and store in freezer until ready to serve. |
