Basil and lemon-pepper really come through with this speedy way to dress up frozen green beans. My husband and I find that being retired does not mean we're idle, remarks Marilou Candela of Licking, Missouri. Some days we're very busy, so this side dish is a favorite. Ingredients:
2 cups frozen french-style green beans |
2 teaspoons butter |
1/2 teaspoon dried basil |
1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning |
salt to taste, optional |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes or until beans are tender. Yield: 3 servings. |
