6 fresh whole eggs |
2 large basil leaves(julienne or minced) |
salt and pepper |
whole unsalted butter |
2 oz heavy whipping cream |
cheese ( your favorite) i prefer a white mellow cheese like provalone or monteray jack |
Directions:
1. Whisk eggs & cream till very fluffy 2. get heavy bottom pan a skillet will not do you want eggs to be two inches deep in cooking pan 3. heat pan add tbsp butter melt 4. add eggs 5. cook slowly stirring constantly with wooden or rubber spat 6. the secret of great scrammbled eggs is to cook them slowly and remove from heat periodically as the eggs have a tendency to continue cooking. you want them to be soft scrambled. add a bit or butter while your cooking the eggs, and always season at the end. 7. when eggs are almost to your liking add cheese and basil ( slice it just before you add it) and season with salt and pepper. 8. basil eggs english style DONE! |
