Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
2 cups sliced mushrooms |
3/4 lb lean ground beef |
1/2 cup dry white wine |
1 (28 ounce) can italian plum tomatoes |
1/2 cup water |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet. 2. Add onion; cook until softened, 4 minutes. 3. Add mushrooms; cook until liquid evaporates, 5 minutes. 4. Add beef; cook, breaking up clumps, until browned. 5. Add wine; cook until wine evaporates. 6. Add tomatoes with their liquid, water, salt and pepper; simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally until sauce thickens, about 15 minutes. 7. Toss with cooked pasta of choice and serve. 8. Sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan cheese at the table. |
