Everyone should know how to make their own marinara. If you add extra oregano, you'll get pizza sauce! Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
9 garlic cloves |
1 onion |
20 leaves fresh basil or 20 leaves dried basil |
1 pinch oregano (or more) |
1 teaspoon parsley |
ground black pepper |
3 (24 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes |
1 pinch sugar |
salt |
Directions:
1. Sautee garlic, and onion in EVOO until golden. Add remaining ingredients. Cook at least 15 minutes, the longer the better. |
