A simple basic hummus recipe that can be used with any variations you may wish to try. Ingredients:
1 tin chickpeas (drained) |
liquid from drained chickpeas |
lemon juice (splash to taste) |
salt |
pepper |
3 cloves garlic |
1 1/2 tbsp tahini |
olive oil |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients and 1/4 of the liquid from the tin of chickpeas and a 1 tbs of olive oil. 2. Pulse blend until well mixed. 3. Add additional liquid from the drained chickpeas as need until you have a rough creamy texture. 4. Taste and add any additional seasonings needed for taste. 5. Pour into medium sized bow. 6. Splash with olive oil and chill. 7. Best if left to chill over night, but good to eat immediately also. |
