1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon butter |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup milk |
1 egg, beaten |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
oil |
icing sugar |
Directions:
1. Put flour in shallow pan, add salt, baking powder, and sugar. 2. Rub in butter with fingertips. 3. Add the well beaten egg and milk and stir thoroughly. 4. Toss on floured board, roll to one-fourth inch in thickness, shape, fry, and drain. 5. Mix cinnamon and nutmeg with icing sugar to taste and use it to dust the cooled donuts. |
