I couldn't find a decent basic chow mein recipe on the internet or in books, so i experimented and came up with a delicious and simple chicken chow mein recipe which is easy and cheap to make. Ingredients:
2 chicken breast fillets |
1 -2 onion, diced |
100 g bean sprouts |
100 g egg noodles |
dark soy sauce |
Directions:
1. Heat some oil in a pan, a wok is best to use. 2. Cut the chicken breast into small slices or cubes and cook on a low heat until brown. 3. Add the beansprouts and cook until soft. Then add some soy sauce. 4. Add the diced onions and cook until transparent. 5. Lastly add the egg noodles and add soy sauce. Cook for 5 minutes and then serve. |
