These cookies have been one of my favorites since I was a little girl. They are quick and easy to make, and they are great for a snack, or to put into lunches. They are soft and chewy and kids love them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine |
1 1/2 cups white sugar |
1/2 cup milk (any kind) |
5 tablespoons cocoa |
3 cups rolled oats |
1 pinch salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup coconut |
Directions:
1. Combine margarine, sugar, and milk in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Add cocoa, and rolled oats and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add a pinch of salt, vanilla, and coconut. Mix together well. Spoon tablespoon size amounts of mixture onto wax paper. Continue until mixture is gone. Refrigerate. |
