This is a recipe from my husbands elementry school. They still make these once a week to this day. Very good and freezes extremely well Ingredients:
5 lbs ground beef |
5 medium onions, chopped |
3 large potatoes, grated (i use food proc.) |
1/2 cup flour |
1 teaspoon sage |
1 teaspoon curry powder |
2 teaspoons salt |
3 tablespoons chili powder |
2 cups ketchup |
2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Fry ground beef and onions together. 2. Drain off fat. 3. Add remaining ingredients. 4. Cook in oven for approx. 5. 2 hours or less at 325F. 6. Stir occasionally. 7. This will fill about 4 1/2 dozen hamburger buns. |
