This is a very comforting, very tasty and very popular stew that is so good on a cold winter night. My aunt made this as far back as I can remember and it is so good. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 pound beef stew meat cut into 1/2 cubes |
1/2 cup finely chopped white onion |
1 clove garlic minced |
1 can condensed beef broth |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup pearled barley |
2 tablespoons ketchup |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
2 cups sliced mushrooms |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except sour cream in a slow cooker. 2. Cover and cook on low 8 hours then turn off heat and stir in sour cream. |
