This is a greaty healthy dish! Ingredients:
1 c. of uncooked barley |
2 large chopped carrots |
2 stalks of chopped celery |
1 (14.5 oz) can of diced tomatoes with juice |
1 chopped zucchini |
1 (15 oz) can of drained garbanzo beans |
1 chopped onion |
3 bay leaves |

1 chopped onion |
3 bay leaves |
1 tsp.of garlic powder |
1 tsp. of white sugar |
1 tsp. of salt |
1/2 tsp. of ground black pepper |
1 tsp. of dried parsley |
1 tsp. of curry powder |
1 tsp. of paprika |
1 tsp. of worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. First you pour veggie broth in a big pot. 2. Then you can add in the barley, carrots, celery, tomatoes, zucchini, garbanzo beans, onion, and the bay leaves. 3. Add in the seasons of garlic, parsley, curry powder, paprika, and the Worcestershire sauce. 4. This will need to come to a boil then simmer approx. 90 min. 5. This will be thick. 6. Take out bay leaf right before serving. |
