This recipe came to me from my Aunt Alta's recipes collection. She originally got this recipe from Family Circle. The story behind this punch was that the hostess had invited a crowd over for a dinner party, but all the stores were closed and she had to use what she had lying around the house. She only had some cheap jug wine in the house, so she disguised it in this punch. Ingredients:
1 gallon dry red wine, chilled |
2 limes, sliced |
2 lemons, sliced |
4 oranges, sliced |
1 quart club soda or 1 quart mineral water |
ice cube, as needed |
Directions:
1. Pour wine into a large punch bowl. 2. Add sliced fruits,club soda, and enough ice to chill it. |
