No veggies? No problem! This is my mom's recipe for chili, without all those icky chunks of tomato and onion. Tip: the longer you let this cook, the better it will taste. For great chili, make it in the morning, eat for dinner!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (lean) or 1 lb ground turkey
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups tomato juice
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
2 (15 ounce) cans chili hot beans
1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans
1 (15 ounce) can black beans
Directions:
1. Brown beef and garlic together. Drain.
2. Put all ingredients in a crock pot (or large pot on stove). Note: add the bean juice from the chili hot beans, but not from the red kidney or black beans.
3. Cook on low all day (or if you're taking less time, start on hot, switch to low).
