Barbeque Smoked Sausage Pizza |

BBQ sauce, smoked sausage and cheese some of my favorites and I think you could make it pretty cheap if you made your own crust. They also suggest subbing out the mozzarella and parm with and equal amount of a colby jack mix and then sprinkling on some chopped fresh cilantro. Ingredients:
1 (1 lb) package hillshire farm beef smoked sausage |
28 ounces pizza crusts |
2/3 cup barbecue sauce |
3/4 cup seeded chopped plum tomato |
1 cup thinly sliced red onion |
1 green bell pepper, chopped |
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese |
1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Peheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut sausage into 1/4' angled slices. I would then saute them until browned. It only takes a few minutes and it tastes so much better. 2. Put crusts on baking sheets, spread 1/3 cup BBQ sauce on each crust. Top each pizza with sausage, tomatoes, onions, peppers, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. 3. Bake 20 minutes or until crust is crisp and cheese is lightly golden brown. |
